Extended Characters Dialog

This dialog is used to enable the handling of extended characters and their mapping to standard characters for use in loadnames.

To set up extended characters:

  1. Select menu Tools : Advanced Settings : Extended Characters.
  2. Select the edit control labeled "Extended Character" and enter the extended character to map by holding the alt key and entering the 4 digit decimal key value (starting with a 0) and then release the alt key.
  3. Then select the edit control labeled "LoadName Character" and enter the standard character to which you want to map it.
Loadman Fleet Manager supports the characters with values 192 thru 214 and 216 thru 222. These are all uppercase characters. The lower case characters are mapped automatically the same as the upper case characters. The lower case letters have a code assignment that is 32 larger than the upper case. For example the capital A, grave accent is 192, the lower case a, grave accent is 224.
